Wedding Invitation Journey: Hydrageas In Low Country
When people ask what I do, I say I'm a stationer. But really, I'm a visual story teller and paper is my medium.
The story begins with a marrying couple, maybe some parents and even some siblings, who come to meet with us upstairs at Bespoke to learn about what we do. For most, it's the first time they've created a formal invitation. But, as the journey develops, everyone learns that it's so much more that just an invitation. This journey of Mariana and Nick's has so many special moments. In this story, the very first moment begins with a gift from an aunt to her niece.
Having just relocated to Westport from Miami, Jackie found our design studio through Google. On a very cold early winter day we had a visit from Jackie and her sister Viviana. With a portfolio full of sketches and drawings and ideas, each page more charming than the next, Jackie wanted to give her niece some art to use for her wedding invitation. Unsure of how to do this, she came to us.
With the keen editors' eyes of our team, we worked with Jackie to develop a direction, to expand the vocabulary so that we could develop the motifs across the many pieces of the full suite and day of details. In a future blog post we will give you a full flat lay image of everything. But, today we installed it in our downstairs vitrine at 5A Sconset Square in Westport, CT and wanted to give you a preview of the excitement.
