Gary’s Birthday Bash

It was such a joy to be part of Gary’s 70th!

Imagine a big, festive, high-energy celebration featuring extraordinary performances by headliner The Temptations, Cafe Wha? Band, and Pilobolus Dance Company. Are you starting to groove to the sounds of “My Girl?”

Our mission: create a dynamic sense of motion and fun and bring Gary’s independent spirit and joie de vivre to life. Gary’s wife, Barb, told us in no uncertain terms: “This is most definitely a dance party!”

To convey that message right from the start, we created a holographic foil custom die-cut of people dancing to wrap around the colorful invitation. It radiated with warmth, humor and energy.

Barb shared, “People loved the invitation. I had 20 people say ‘Best invitation I’ve ever gotten in my whole life.’ The invitation got everyone in the mood for this event in just the right way.”

“The event branding and guest experience details were so much fun,” Barb continued, “I loved learning what was possible. Everything we chose helped make the party even more special. The logistics were crazy, but Shari helped me to envision the flow for our guests. The evening felt safe and seamless. All the planning with Bespoke early on helped create a great evening for us.”

Gary is a world traveler, so the food for the evening was a thematic “magic carpet ride” to global destinations. Each station was fully branded by Bespoke with signage, menus, napkins, and more. We translated the graphics from the invitation to T-shirts for all the event team, including parking, security, bar, and wait staff.

Other onsite branding included graphics for the 8-foot backlit bar, graphics on the bar, the serving trays and drink cups. The take away snacks for the road were sliders and dogs served with branded wrappers and water bottles labeled, “A Drink from Gary’s Fountain of Youth.” Guests had sooo many chances to smile!
